Cellcom

About the company

Founded in 1994 and since 2015 has been the largest cellular company in Israel. Cellcom was the second company to open in Israel in the cellular field, and it won the tender after pledging to give a low consumer price for at least five years.

Difference between Cellcom’s price and Pelephone’s price, which until then had enjoyed a cellular monopoly, was eight times higher, but once the company’s commitment period was low, Cellcom raised the price of using cellular phones to the private sector in a reduced manner.

Together with the low price, Cellcom had an unreliable image due to the lack of base stations and lack of coverage for absorption in certain areas of the country.

At the end of the 1990s, awareness of the danger of radiation from cellular antennas increased in Israel, and therefore the company found it difficult to install antennas in certain places, while in some cases the antennas were prevented by legal orders.

Today, as stated, this is the largest cellular company in Israel.

Prepaid Cellcom Talkman Talkman payment track is determined in advance by the user, depending on the amount of use he wants. Israeli prepaid sim card from Cellcom does not have monthly usage fees on the Talkman’s prepaid route, and the price includes voice and caller ID services at no charge, provided that it is over 50 NIS.-

Pelephone

About the company

Pelephone is the oldest cellular company in Israel, and in fact anyone who calls his cell phone “Pelephone” happens to him in the name of the brand that has become identified with the devices.

The company was founded in 1986 by Motorola and Tadiran and in 2004 was bought by Bezeq, the largest communications corporation in Israel. Pelephone provides cellular services and sells smart mobile devices, including telephones, tablets and laptops, as well as accessories.

As part of the privatization of the cellular sector, the company experienced a drastic decline in the number of customers, initially with the entry of Orange (now Partner) and Cellcom, and today with the entry of other competitors such as Rami Levy, HOT and others.

Today, the company has a little more than 2 million subscribers and employs about 2,500 people, mainly sales and service, at 80 points throughout the country. Most of the company’s managers are veteran employees who started out as representatives at the service centers.

Pelephone’s infrastructure enjoys relative stability and few failures, and like all the large cellular companies, the service needs improvement.

Rami Levy Communication

About the company

Rami Levy’s communications company is a subsidiary of Rami Levy Hashikma Marketing, and has been providing mobile phone services since the end of 2011. The company uses Pelephone‘s existing infrastructure.

The company promised to create a revolution in the cellular market, and when the company’s prepaid program was launched it was significantly cheaper in the price of a call minute than the competitors, by 60% -70%, on calls and text messages.

The problem was that within a short time Rami Levy’s prepaid cards disappeared from almost all points of sale, except Sonol’s gas stations, and users had to pay with a credit card on the company’s website, making the card irrelevant for those who did not have a credit card.

Rami Levy prepaid Those who still want to enjoy the low price per minute can enjoy a variety of possible routes at prices of 28 NIS to 80 NIS, the volume of calls and surfing is variable. It is important to note that most of the packages offered by Rami Levy’s prepaid program are valid for only one month or until the amount charged is completed, whichever comes first.

Rami Levy’s prepaid cards can be emphasized in two ways: loading a package or charging money. When you buy a prepaid package, the price is known in advance for the next thirty days, depending on the terms of the package purchased.

When you charge money, you determine the amount charged on the reduced card depending on what you use on your mobile phone. The prices charged for money are slightly higher than when purchasing a package and there are also monthly subscription fees.

HOT Mobile

About the company

HOT Mobile is a subsidiary of HOT and has been around starting in 2010. Since 2016, the company operates a joint antenna network with Partner, but HOT is not one of the three largest cellular companies in Israel.

Since the cooperation with Partner, the quality of reception at Hot Mobile has increased dramatically, and with the entry of new companies into the cellular market, the price of the company’s services has decreased, bringing it to over 1.5 million users in Israel.

At the same time, HOT itself is not a popular company in Israel and the company’s known service problems also negatively affect HOT Mobile.

Claim or purchase Some companies offer one-time tickets, that is, cards with a face value that once you have used the amount that they were using, you must purchase a new card. Some companies offer recharge cards, which means that tickets are loaded on an additional period of money each time. Of course, when it comes to one-time tickets, the phone number changes with each card again, while recharge cards allow you to keep the same phone number. Hot Mobile’s prepaid tracks are called HOT-TALK and are available on several tracks.

Israeli prepaid sim card hot mobile is the cellular company that offers the most prepaid cards, and like other companies, the more you invest in a larger amount, the less you will pay for an air minute.

Golan Telecom

About the company

Golan Telecom entered the cellular communications market in early 2012 as the fifth cellular company in Israel , and in retrospect was one of the companies that led to increased competition between cellular companies in Israel and to lower prices in the market, thanks to the low prices that the company instituted at the beginning of its activity.

Until Golan Telecom entered the cellular market, the billing model imposed by the cellular companies was a fixed charge for air time, which led to high prices.

Golan-Telecom’s billing model offered a fixed and low monthly charge, with no limit on air time. This model was successfully tested in France by the company’s owners, and has affected the decline in cellular communications prices in the country.

After the launch of Golan Telecom in May 2012, and with the introduction of its new prices, which were significantly cheaper than competitors’ prices, the other companies were forced to align and lower the price as well.

Golan Telecom is currently owned by Electra.
