How to change the APN setting on your Portable WiFi Mobile Hotspot

Huawei E585

1. Open '3MobileWiFi' or go to http://192.168.1.1

2. Find the section 'Change Your Settings'

3. Enter admin password (By default the password is 'Admin')

4. Click Log In

5. Click Advanced Settings > Connection Settings > Profile Settings > New

6. ‘Profile Name’ – Anything you want (e.g. Vodafone Profile)

7. ‘Connection Number’- *99#

1. Plug 3G SIM card to Huawei E5151

2. Just one button to power on the E5151.

3. Connect the WiFi signal from E5151(the SSID is on the back cover )

4. Land the web management page, the address is 192.168.8.1 (the address is different from its predecessor Huawei E586 or Huawei E5331)

5. Log in to set up( Default log name and password are both “admin”

6. The page will guide you to the Settings. And you will find there is guide for Quick Setup

7. Click Next to next step. Usually, Huawei E5151 would auto identify you SIM card and operator, and automatically configure the corresponding data, you just need to click Next to next step.

8. If not, you need to set up the Profile name, and APN of your provider. The profile can be any words, but APN must be right, it will determine whether you will get connected to network

1. Type in your Web Browser 192.168.0.1then the default login page will appear. Type in username: admin and password: (blankdon’t enter any thing)

2. After you login the default webpage will appear.

3. Go to “Internet”-“Connection”. Select “Preferred Cellular Network” to Manual and click on “Change” and thengo to “Internet” –“Connection”-“User Profile” and add a manual profile. You will have to give the APN according to the SIM card that you are using

1. Access the Administration Web Interface.

2. From the left menu, click Jetpack Settings.

3. From the Advanced tab, click Continue (on the right). Ensure the Cellular Data switch is set to 'ON'

4. From the Networks tab, click Show Advanced Settings.

5. From the 4G LTE APN field, edit the APN as required.

6. Click Save Changes (at the bottom right).

M7350 LTE-Advanced Mobile WiFi

1. Enter dial-up settings.

• Mobile Data: It is enabled by default. You can disable it to prohibit Internet access.

• Data Roaming: It is disabled by default. If disabled, data service is not allowed when roaming.

• Profile List: A list of profile for you to select. After selecting one profile from the list, you can further modify its parameters. If you find any parameters wrong, you can click Create to create a new profile with the right settings

• Profile Name: The name of the profile you've selected.

• PDP Type: Select the type of your PDP (Packet Data Protocol), either IPv4 or IPv6.

• APN Type: Select the type of your APN, either Dynamic or Static. If you select Dynamic, the device will have dynamic APN, which does not need to be specified. If you select Static, you can manually specify your APN.

• APN: Access Point Name, provided by your ISP. You need to set APN only after selecting the static APN type.

• Username/Password: Enter the username and password provided by your ISP. These fields are case-sensitive.

• Authentication Type: Some ISPs need a specific authentication type, please confirm it with your ISP or keep the default value.

• None: No any authentication is needed.

• PAP: Password Authentication Protocol. This protocol allows the device to establish authentication with the peer using two handshakes. Select this option if the ISP requires this authentication type.

• CHAP: Challenge Handshake Authentication Protocol. This protocol allows the device to establish authentication with the peer using three handshakes and checking the peer identity periodically. Select this option if the ISP requires this authentication type.

2. Click Create to create a new profile.

3. Click Save to save your settings.


NETGEAR Fuse Mobile Hotspot

1. In the Mobile Hotspot Manager, click Settings > Network > APN.

2. In the blank line, enter the APN details: Name – Enter a short description (for example, the carrier name). APN – Enter the APN you obtained from the carrier.

3. Click the button beside the new APN entry. To select the APN to be used: Select the Active button at the beginning of the entry. To remove an APN from the list: Click the button beside the APN entry

3. Enter the administrator password that you created and click Login.

1. Connect to the Mobile HotSpot via Wi-Fi.

2. Launch an available web browser on your connected device and go to http://mobile.hotspot/.

Note: If there are any issues accessing the web portal using the mobile.hotspot url, you may use 192.168.43.1 instead.

3. Enter the web portal administrator password and click Apply.

Note: The default administrator password is admin.

4. Click Configuration in the top toolbar.

5. In the APN section, enter the Profile Name and APN information for a new connection.

6. Click Save.

1. Open a web browser.

11. If your using vpn.com for your APN settings you may have to make the following changes to fix connection issues:

• Click Advanced Setting.

• Click Router.

• Click Basic.

• Make sure VPN Passthrough is set to Enable.

• Click Save.


T-Mobile 4G HotSpot Z64

1. Access the mobile hotspot Admin Page.

2. Click the Settings tab.

3. Click Network Settings.

4. Under the APN heading, confirm the information entered is correct.

5. To correct APN information, click Manual.

6. Click Add New.

7. Enter the following information:

8. Press the Menu key.

9. Touch Save.

10. In the list of APNs, delete all others that appear if possible.

Exception: Do not delete the FOTA APN.

To delete an APN, follow these steps:

• Touch the APN you want to delete.

• Press the Menu key.

• Touch Delete APN.

11. Select to activate the GoSmart or T-Mobile APN with the correct settings. The activated APN is usually indicated by a green or blue circle.

12. Turn the phone off and back on.

13. Test the data connection and access the web to verify it is working correctly. If not, repeat steps above to edit the APN to set the APN type to <blank>.

HUAWEI E5332 Mobile WiFi

1. Plug the SIM card to device HUAWEI E5332

2. Power on HUAWEI E5332

3. Connect the WiFi device to HUAWEI E5332(the SSID and WiFi key are on the back cover inner part)

4. Land the web management page: 192.168.1.1

5. Log in by user name: admin, password: admin

6. After log in, under the column “Settings”, click “Quick setup”

7. Set up a name, the name could be any name per the preference and enter in the APN of the SIM card provider

8. Then click to next step, configure dial-up settings

9. Then next to configure WLAN Settings: SSID

10. Then next to configure WLAN WiFi Key, encryption code

11. The next to configuration Summary, confirm and click “Finish”.

12. After few seconds, HUAWEI E5332 could get connected with the network. And terminal could surf under this support.


Cricket Wireless MiFi/Hotspot

3.Save, Restart the phone and Test the connection


FreedomPop

1. Ensure the FreedomPop app is not already installed on your device. If it is, please uninstall the app from the app store.

2. Power off your device.

3. Insert your SIM into the primary slot. Be careful to avoid touching the metal surface and making sure you align the corner cut out with the slot so you install the chip correctly.

4. Once inserted, power on your device.

5. Your device should locate and display network logo FREEDOMPOP. Disable WiFi if it’s on, and check if you have mobile data connection by browsing the internet.

6. If your device is not receiving a mobile data connection, check APN settings.

7. The APN configuration is as follows:

• Name: 3

• APN: three.co.uk

• Username: None*

• Password: None*

8. Connect to WiFi if available, and navigate to the app store and download the FreedomPop Messaging app (Android) or FreedomPop Free Voice and Text app (iOS).

9. Once the app is downloaded open it and you should see your account details in the settings menu.


Pocket WiFi

1. Using the web browser on a device connected to the Pocket WiFi, enter http://pocket.wifi or http://192.168.0.1 into the address bar to open the online dashboard.

If you’re connected to the Pocket WiFi using the Micro USB cable from your PC, you can also open the dashboard by clicking on the shortcut icon on your desktop.

2. Enter your administrator password in the top right hand corner of the page and press the ‘Login’ button. If you haven’t set up a password before, enter the default: admin

3. Click 'Mobile Broadband' from the top menu, and then 'Connection' on the left-hand side.

4. If you're changing the setting with Vodafone:

Choose your APN and enter it into the 'APN' field show below:

• 'live.vodafone.com' (this is the default for all Vodafone mobile devices. Use this, unless instructed otherwise by customer care)

• 'vfinternet.au' (this should only be used under instruction)

Leave everything else as it appears. For example the 'username', 'password' and 'DNS' fields should all be blank.

5. Click 'Save' at the bottom of the screen.

If you're using your Pocket WiFi with another provider:

Get the settings from your new provider, select 'custom', and enter them in the appropriate fields.

Click 'OK' when prompted to disconnect, it'll restart, and your connection will be restored within a few seconds.

7. Save this and then select this APN. You can now connect to internet after two minutes (if not working try restarting your your device and then connect)

XCom Global MiFi

1. Turn on the MiFi and wait for the blue Wi-Fi light (not the power button) to illuminate

2. Turn on the device you want to wirelessly connect to the MiFi. (SSID Network name starts with MiFi_2372)

3. Connect to the MiFi wirelessly -> Open a web browser

4. Type www.MiFi into the address bar of the web browser. (if that does not bring up the configuration page use”192.168.1.1”)

5. Type “xcom” into the login blank. ("admin" if you reset it at any point)

6. Click “Internet” then “profiles”

7. Click “Edit Internet profile”

If Line Starts With 195- or 11-

8. Click “Apply"

9. Click “Internet” then “Settings”

10. Click the drop down menu next to Auto-Connect Enable and select “Home and Roaming Networks”

11. Click “Apply”

Virgin Mobile Hotspot

1. Press the Disconnect button on the home page to change this setting if required.

2. In Auto mode the device will provision the correct APN based on your SIM card and service provider.

3. Press Add New to create a new APN

4. Add the Profile Name, eg Virgin

5. Enter the correct APN details eg virginbroadband

6. Press Save to save your new APN

7. Press the Profile drop down box

8. Select the new APN profile

9. Click on ‘Set as default’ to set the new APN as your preferred setting

10. Press the Help icon to get in context tips.

11. Normally there is no need to change these settings unless you change service provider.

12. The Wi-Fi hotspot is locked to Virgin. If you use a SIM card from another provider you may not be able to connect to the network.

13. Consult your new carrier to obtain alternate APN details for your device.


Verizon Jetpack 4G LTE Mobile HotSpot - MiFi 5510L

1.Access the Administration Web Interface.

2.From the left menu, click Jetpack Settings.

3.From the Advanced tab, click Continue (located on the right).

4.From the 4G LTE APN field, edit the APN as required.

5.Click Save Changes (located in the lower-right).
