Kyivstar offers Internet 3G service for your laptop.

How to use the service:

  • Purchase “Kyivstar. Mobile Internet” set, which contains 3G modem and special SIM card with activated services of prepaid connection and installed tariff plan “Internet 3G”.
  • Insert SIM card into the modem.
  • In “Network Settings” section of modem software choose manual mode and search for available networks. Select UTEL (or 255-07, UA-07, UKR-07). If indicated displays of UTEL network are not found, this means there is no UTEL network coverage in this place or end-user equipment does not support 3G standard.
  • In “Internet Profiles” section select Internet 3G profile or Internet Prepaid and install it by default.
  • Click “Get Connected” on the “Internet” tab.

During the activation of number “Internet 3G 600” package is connected automatically and 600 MB of data are charged (for the first time no charge in deducted). How to top up

You can top up your prepaid account as follows:

  • on Kyivstar web-site with any sum;
  • by top-up cards - 25 UAH / 3.12$ , 30 UAH / 3.74$, 50 UAH / 6.23$, 100 UAH / 12.47$ and 300 UAH / 37.40$ card are available. While topping up account with new top-up card prepaid subscribers get bonus: +3 UAH / 0.37$ if using 100 UAH / 12.47$ card; +10 UAH / 1.25$ if using 300 UAH / 37.40$ card. To top up ypur account dial *12*< recharge code ># and press Call button or call to 433 and enter recharge code after invitation.
  • by electronic codes for account top-up - it is an analogue of unified account top-up card with 25, 50, 100 and 300 face-values. Electronic codes are available at internet-portals, you can purchase them using your credit card. Also it is possible to buy an electronic code at ATM, banks and shops with POS-terminals. Steps to top up account by electronic codes are identical to account top-up using top-up cards.
  • by cash or credit cards («Convenient sum» service) using self-service terminals and ATMs, and also at sale points and banks, which provide such opportunity. There you should fill in special blank of subscriber’s account/number replenishment, write in phone number, sum, your sign and give it to teller. After verification your money will be transferred.

Step 3: Activate the Mobile GPRS Internet service. For this send a free SMS message with 3 to 1020 and save in your mobile phone the settings which you’ll receive in reply.

There is also a service 'Internet for 1 kopeck (0.01 UAH / 0.001$): 1 kopeck = 1 MB' in prepaid mobile tariff 'Super MTS Without Connection Fee 0-25'. 1 MB of Mobile GPRS Internet comes into effect if you buy the 1,600 MB package at the price of 8 UAH / 1$. The package is valid for a period of 80 days. To order the 'Internet for 1 kopeck service', you have to dial *101*1600#. The service will be activated within 24 hours. On a daily basis you will be given 20 MB of Mobile GPRS Internet. If you want to check validity period of the Internet for 1 kopeck service and your MB balance, dial *101*02#.Once you’ve exhausted the daily allowance under this service, cost of 1 MB of uploaded/downloaded data will be 7 UAH / 0.87$.
